Tim Bob's Trike

Owner: Tim "Timbob" Dwyer
Location: Lodi, California
Engine: Stock 1600cc
Exhaust: Merged Header

Here is another more complete picture of the trike that you were nice enough to feature on your "readers rides" section of your website. All of my CB Performance parts are working perfectly, which came as no surprise. Thanks again for featuring my "Red Molly".

It has taken about a year and a few months to build this rig, and I am now finding out which of my "engineering decisions" work and which ones need some revamping. I built every part on the trike, from about 75' of tubing, the clip from an IRS bug and about 18" of a Honda Gold Wing. I am adding dual discs up front, which along with the front wheel, came from a CBX.

The frame and suspension bits are powder coated and there are a few bits of chrome here and there. The fuel tank is under the frame and holds about 11 gallons. Frank Pelco at Payless Foreign Car Repair did the engine and I did everything else. The muffler which can't be seen in the photo consists of a 12" glasspack that runs vertically from the collector, then a u-bend goes back up, turns, and ends in a chrome "fishtail".

I call it "Red Molly" after a folk song about a "highwayman" who rides a Vincent Black Lightning, and comes to a bad end. It has been fun to build, and I hope it is fun to ride. I have my eye on an old Formula Vee, that needs a new home,so that may be next.

"I got the clutch cylinder, headlights, brake cylinder and a few odd bits from CB, and was most impressed with the service. Thank you for the interest in my project and the continuing great service I get any time I choose CB Performance for my parts needs. Parts is parts, but the people there at CB Performance with their vast knowledge and friendly attitude make me come back."

Batmobile

Owner: Glen's VW Repair
Location: Sedalia, MO
Engine: 1914cc

This is built on a shortened pan (14"). It has BAT 1 on the serial # plate with a 73 bug serial #. He was told it was built in CA. He was also told it was the only one! I can not believe someone would do the molds and only build one. I was wondering if anyone has seen one before. It has a 1914cc dual webers-44's. It has some real good heads on it. I am still fighting the carbs. jetting.

It still spits about 2500-3000 rpm. I used the jets Aaron suggested. It did have complete roof, but the guy cut it out like a T-TOP and it really hurt the strength of the body. The rear deck comes off & it looks like a pickup bed with tailgate. Real thick glass and a good job of making body.

Cooper's Cruiser

Owner: Neil Cooper
Location:
Farmersville,CA
Engine: 1600cc

This is a project my dad and I started about Three years ago and still working its way to perfection It has an rebuilt 1600cc engine, 009 distributor, And an electronic ignition. Nothing special but it will move you around pretty good, just enough to have fun out in the desert.

We hope to put a 1914cc w/dual Dellortos.

We will Keep tinkering with it.
