Wide 5 Bolt-On Front Disc Brake Kit for Type 1 Sedans feature the Early VW 5 Lug Pattern - CB's unique two piece Rotor/ Hub design is what makes this kit possible.

The lug pattern is so large that an All-New Custom Rotor/ Hub Assembly had to be designed and engineered - The Hub itself is cast and machined from 356 Aluminum... Heat treated to a T6 rating, then secured to a machined SAE Certified Grey Iron Rotor.

Combine with one of our NEW Early VW 5 Lug Rear Disc Brake Kit and you'll have one Unstoppable Performance Braking package. Enjoy the ride! Bolt Pattern: WIDE 5 x 205mm



Kits include NEW Rotors, Calipers/ Brackets (and mounting hardware), S/S Braided Brake Lines, *Bearings, and Seals.

Installation Notes
  1. Wide 5 Hubs use 12mm threads, AND increases tire offset by 7/8" on either side - If needed, CB recommends the use of a Narrowed Front Beam to reduce tire offset.
  2. This kit will NOT work with Lowered Spindles.
> Longer Studs required for BRM Wheels (1/2" OD) <







NOTE: Vehicles with four wheel disc brakes using a 67-later master cylinder are recommended to install a 4 lb. Residual Pressure Valve.

Good looking product! Struggled a bit with this product. My 1958 Vw bug front drum brakes did not use this spindle spacer that this kit doesn’t come with. I had my link pins rebuilt prior to using this disc brake kit, and my spindle install kit came with this spacer. It took a couple of installation attempts to make this work. Also one of the cast backer plates that holds the caliper was slightly off.  This caused the bolts to not line up correctly. A little grinding and it all worked out.
