Sway-A-Way 8040 14mm x 1.5 Wheel Stud - 57mm Starter Lead

Sway-A-Way press-in wheel stud for VW, Porsche and custom wheel applications requiring 14mm x 1.5 wheel studs. The extended starter lead helps guide the lug nut onto the stud for faster, easier alignment during wheel installation.

Manufactured from high-strength alloy steel, these Sway-A-Way wheel studs are cold headed with rolled threads for increased strength and durability.

Installation requires the hub, drum or rotor to be properly prepared for press-in stud fitment. Sway-A-Way specifies a finished mounting-hole diameter of approximately .562" (9/16") for the knurled section, creating the required interference fit. Verify mounting-hole size, stud-head clearance and wheel/lug-nut compatibility before installation.

When converting a threaded VW drum or rotor to press-in studs, the original threaded hole must be drilled and properly reamed for the stud's interference fit.
