Description

Restore the drum brake hardware when servicing the rear brakes on your VW Type-3 or the front brakes on your 1971-1979 Super Beetle. This brake hardware and spring kit replaces the aging springs and retaining hardware used to secure, position and return the brake shoes.

Brake springs and related hardware are often reused during a brake job, but years of heat, corrosion and repeated cycling can reduce spring tension and affect proper brake shoe operation. Replacing the hardware when installing or servicing brake shoes is a good way to complete the brake job with fresh components.
