Restore the rear drum brake hardware when servicing your early VW Beetle or Karmann Ghia. This rear brake hardware and spring kit replaces the aging springs and retaining hardware used to secure, position and return the rear brake shoes.

Brake springs and related hardware are often reused during a brake job, but years of heat, corrosion and repeated cycling can reduce spring tension and affect proper brake shoe operation. Replacing the hardware when installing or servicing rear brake shoes is a good way to complete the brake job with fresh components.
