Upgrade your ignition system with the PerTronix D180810 Flame-Thrower Billet Distributor, featuring the advanced Ignitor II Electronic Ignition Module. Designed as a plug-and-play replacement for Bosch 009-style distributors, this unit delivers improved spark energy, stable timing, and maintenance-free operation for air-cooled VW engines.

Precision CNC-machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, the D180810 provides superior strength and durability while maintaining accurate timing control at all RPM ranges. The integrated Ignitor II module uses Hall Effect technology and adaptive dwell control to maximize coil output and ignition performance.

Another stand-out feature of the D180810 is its fully adjustable mechanical advance system. Using the included spring kit and advance limiters, the timing curve can be tailored to match your specific engine combination. Spring selection controls how quickly advance comes in, while interchangeable limiters allow total mechanical advance to be set at 12°, 16°, or 20°. This flexibility allows for precise tuning of idle quality, throttle response, and overall engine performance—far beyond what is possible with fixed-curve distributors.
