In my limited experience, this is the weakest part on a VW bus. The constant movement from the Clutch pedal action will eventually wear your clevis pin down until it finally snaps, leaving you stranded without a clutch. Investigate your clutch pedal from underneath the bus front end to see if yours is worn, and if it doesn't need replacing now, it surely will after a few years of daily driving. Get one for your glove box.
