JAMAR JS2X Polished Mid-Engine Shifter Linkage

The JAMAR JS2X is a polished mid-engine shifter linkage designed for custom VW transaxle installations where the transmission is positioned for a mid-engine layout. The system relocates and redirects the shift linkage so a conventional VW 4-speed transaxle can be operated in sand rails, dune buggies, race cars and other custom mid-engine vehicles.

The JS2X mounts at the transmission nose cone and connects to the transmission hockey stick through its linkage assembly. The heart of the JS2X is its polished transmission-mounted linkage assembly, which uses multiple rod-end (heim) joints, an adjustable linkage section / threaded hex-bar connector to redirect shift movement for a mid-engine layout.

The kit also includes a 24" solid linkage rod and an 18" solid threaded linkage rod, a u-joint, bushing, and rod end for connecting the assembly into the vehicle's custom shift linkage.

Depending on chassis layout and the distance between the shifter and transaxle, additional shift-rod linkage may be required. Our CB# 6233 - JAMAR JS3RK 36" Super Shifter Rod Kit is available separately for custom installations. JAMAR also offers additional rod lengths and individual linkage components for more specialized layouts.
