Let's face it, they break and wear out. You can replace yours with a little patience and clever finger moves. If your shift rod jumps around and makes funny sounds, check it out. Go for the small plastic bushing first, if that doesn't do the job, replace the whole unit. Your tranny will thank you. They fit all VW Sedans.
