Typical applications include: Custom and performance Swing Axle VW rear suspensions using 26 9/16" long rear torsion bars. Because torsion bar length can vary by chassis and previous suspension modifications, verify the existing torsion bar length before ordering.

Sway-A-Way offers different spring plate collar lengths to match different torsion bar lengths. The torsion bar and spring plate collar must be matched correctly so the splines engage properly.

IMPORTANT: Measure or verify your existing torsion bar length before ordering. These spring plates are not interchangeable with the shorter 21 3/4" or 24 11/16" torsion bar versions.

This #4103 set is part of Sway-A-Way's standard heavy-duty spring steel series and should not be confused with their more specialized 4130 Chromoly Race Series.

The #4103 plates use .250" thick spring steel construction and are an excellent choice for performance, off-road and heavy-duty use without requiring the race series spring plates.

Long 26 9/16" torsion bar spring plates are commonly used in custom VW suspension applications, off-road cars and vehicles where the longer torsion bar configuration is preferred.

Some competition vehicles also modify long Swing Axle spring plates for custom suspension applications. Any cutting, drilling or modification should be performed only by an experienced fabricator and is outside the standard bolt-on application of this product.
