Front Wheel Bearing Thrust Washer — Repro for VW 311-405-661

Reproduction steel thrust washer for the front wheel hub. Installs between the outer wheel bearing and the spindle clamping nut to provide a hard, flat bearing surface and prevent the nut from walking under load.

Fitment

Type 1 (Beetle/Super Beetle) 1966–1979
Type 14 (Karmann Ghia) 1966–1974
Type 3 1962–1973 with late-style front hubs (keyed thrust washer)
Type 181 (Thing) 1973-1974

Features

Precision stamped and ground face for consistent clamping against the outer bearing.
Keyed inner profile engages spindle groove to prevent rotation.
Direct-fit service part; replace whenever the original washer is nicked, cupped, or grooved.

Notes

1HM-405-661 (Brazilian/VW service cross-reference).
Earlier applications use 111-405-661 (38 mm washer, not interchangeable).
