These spring plates are designed specifically for IRS VW applications using 24 11/16" long rear torsion bars.

Sway-A-Way offers different spring plate collar lengths to match different torsion bar lengths. The torsion bar and spring plate collar must be matched correctly so the splines engage properly.

IMPORTANT: Measure or verify your existing torsion bar length before ordering. These spring plates are not interchangeable with the shorter 21 3/4" or longer 26 9/16" torsion bar versions.

NOTE: Some early IRS vehicles equipped with original single-plate spring plates may require drilling an additional mounting hole in the Sway-A-Way spring plate. Verify your existing spring plate configuration before installation.

This #4202 set is part of Sway-A-Way's standard heavy-duty spring steel series and should not be confused with their more specialized 4130 Chromoly Race Series.

The #4202 plates use .250" thick spring steel construction and are an excellent choice for performance, off-road and heavy-duty applications without requiring the full race series spring plate.
