Classic European Coachbuilt Style

Add an unmistakable vintage European look to your air-cooled Volkswagen with this Flat4 Banjo Steering Wheel. Inspired by the rare Petri steering wheels used on select coachbuilt automobiles of the 1950s, this reproduction captures the elegant appearance associated with Rometsch, Hebmüller and early Porsche 356A models.

The large 400mm black rim features a traditional slim grip, while the distinctive grouped banjo spokes are manufactured from strong stainless steel. The flexible spoke design also helps absorb a degree of road shock transmitted through the steering system.

This steering wheel comes from our remaining New Old Stock Flat4 inventory and is an excellent finishing touch for a vintage restoration, Cal-Look build, custom Beetle or period-inspired interior.

Fitment
The steering wheel can be installed on multiple air-cooled VW applications when used with the correct Flat4 Banjo Steering Boss Kit (sold separately). Applications include select Type 1 Beetle, Karmann Ghia and Type 3 models.

 For Type-1 applications, CB Performance offers the following boss kits separately:
Choose Your Horn Button
Complete the wheel with your choice of three distinctive vintage-style horn buttons: the elegant Golden Lady, the rare coachbuilt-inspired Sun & Moon, or St. Christopher surrounded by the 12 signs of the zodiac. Each horn button is sold separately and faithfully reproduces a sought-after European accessory design from the 1950s.

Important
Steering wheel only. The boss kit, horn button and installation hardware associated with those components are not included. Confirm the correct boss kit for your vehicle and steering-column application before ordering.

This steering wheel is intended for standard street-driven vehicles and is not designed for racing or competition use.

This is an aftermarket Flat4 reproduction inspired by vintage Petri steering wheels. It is not a genuine Volkswagen, Porsche or Petri component.
