Ready-to-go cylinder heads with cosmetic blemishes, minor repairs, or pre-selected options and configurations.
From time to time, CB Performance has cylinder head sets available outside of our normal configurable cylinder head offerings. These may include heads with pre-selected options or machining, as well as heads set aside because of cosmetic imperfections, minor repairs or other non-standard characteristics.
Some heads are simply ready-to-go combinations with the bore size, valve package, spring setup or other options already chosen. Others may have cosmetic casting imperfections, minor repairs, special port work, component upgrades, unique machining, or similar characteristics. Each pair listed below has been inspected by our machine shop and is offered based on its individual configuration and condition.
Because every set is different, these cylinder heads are not offered through our normal online product listings. Specifications, condition, options and pricing vary from pair to pair, and additional details may be available that are not shown in the table below.

Re-Port
A cylinder head that has had additional port work performed beyond its original configuration.
This may be done to refine port shape, airflow characteristics or the overall setup of the head.
Core Shift
Core shift is a casting variation that can occur during the manufacturing process when internal or external casting features are not perfectly centered.
Depending on the location and severity, it may be primarily cosmetic or may affect the visible shape of certain areas of the casting.
Porosity
Porosity refers to small voids or air pockets that can occur within an aluminum casting.
When noted on this page, the condition has been identified during inspection and is disclosed as part of that individual pair's condition.
Minor Weld Repair
A localized weld repair may be performed to correct a minor casting issue, damaged fin or other isolated condition.
Any repair listed in the inventory table is disclosed as part of the individual head pair's condition.
Cosmetic Blemish
A cosmetic blemish is a visible imperfection that does not necessarily affect the intended function of the cylinder head.
This can include casting appearance, surface irregularities or other non-critical visual imperfections.
Pre-Selected Configuration
Some pairs are listed simply because they have already been built with specific bore sizes, valve combinations, spring packages or other component choices.
These heads may have no blemish or repair issue at all; they are offered as ready-to-go combinations rather than being configured to order.
